abc susan solney. >> reporter: the governor was ordered the national guard to restore order. what started as a peaceful demonstration deteriorated and the marchers pushed to one end of the street and police in riot gear attempted to push them back. police in armored vehicles launched tear gas and smoke into the crowd. even after a week of unrest the scene was jarring. >> there was shooting, vandal libralism, looting and other acts of violence we had to act. >> sunday was supposed to be a day of healing. many gathered to remember michael brown in attendance, the

testers and police. >> a couple of is recovering this morning from a violent ambush on kelly drive. it happened around 9:00 p.m. last night. police tell us two men jumped a man and woman from behind hitting the pair in their heads. the attacker took off toward the art museum. the investigation into the assault continues. >> now to an "action news" exclusive, a teenager admits to attacking a park ranger in philadelphia's love park, the whole thing was caught on cell phone video. katherine scott is covering this story live, she is in love park with the exclusive interview, good morning, katherine. >> reporter: goodgood morning, r sharrie a 19-year-old pottstown man admits he was in the video and he said else sorry. let's look at the video, you can see the philadelphia park ranger being beaten, kicked stompled
and spit on when the ranger tried to enforce the no skate boarding rule. he claimed the ranger grabbed his friend, witnesses say the ranger never through a punch but did hold up, first, the ranger didn't fight back on purpose, because he thought he would lose his job. the three eventually ran off, curtis said he would deal with authorities when the time comes. >> i lost my cool. i was talking to people from philly, i know i i messed up, i know what i did was wrong, i can't take it back, if i could i would. >> we're being told the park ranger is doing okay, parentally he did have injuries to his head, curtis did not say anything about the other two skateboarders, live in love park, katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> thank you for that report. now from our delaware newsroom
this morning, police are investigating a robbery as the potential motive for a shooting in minquadale. 30-year-old man is in critical condition with a gunshot to the chest. no arrests have been made. happening today jury selection gets underway in the trial for a bucks county teen charged with the rapes of ten young girls. 19-year-old josh benson is accused of forcing himself on girls ages 14 through 17 beginning back back in 20089. he just moved from utah to bensalem when the rapes started. benson's father john was convicted in utah of sexually abusing a child back in 2009. there's new information about the casino crisis in atlantic city, the turns out the revel casino wanted to shut it down today.
they asked the new jersey regulators to close the $2.4 billion casino early, but the state wanted it to remain open for labor day so the hotel will close september 1 and the casino will close the next day. taking a look at wall street. stocks are -- finished mixed on friday and they have a lower open today. this concentrates the sun's rays, but it's having unwanted side effects. it's so powerful it's killing birds midair. regulators want it studied before they decide to build any moo facilities. >> the taney dragons brought home a nail biting victory at the little league world series in williamsport. in the first, mo anyway davis hit one to the right field and made it 2-0.

>> a 15-year-old boy is under arrest for posting online threats for shooting up his school in southern california. two den calls came into the police after this suspect posted pictures of guns. they believe he made a threat to get reaction from friends, but no intention of carrying out an attack. area school districts plan to increase security today as a precaution. disturbing details of a murder of a chicago socialite at a luxury resort in bali. she was killed and left in a suitcase in a taxi outside the saint regis resort. her 19-year-old daughter and boy friend were arrested last week. evidence shows the relationship between the mother and daughter had been rocky in the past, the couple has refused to talk to authorities without an american lawyer present.

police have the names of the two of suspects on the loose. all seven of the men belong to street gangs. new on "action news," an american who recently visited sierra leone is being tested in new mexico for ebola virus as a precaution. the women is in stable condition and not considered a probable case. in liberia, looters raided a quarantine center taking items infected with the virus. 30 patients were staying in money -- money -- and they fled. >> an 85-year-old man is alive despite crashing his car into a backyard swimming pool. the man's flip flops became tangled in the pedals, causing him to lose control when he pulled into the garage in california. he crashed through the back
